Immigration regime in Peru

Foreigners interested in pursuing activities other than tourism in Peru must obtain, before entering, a business visa from Peruvian consulates abroad, or process the appropriate permits with the National Superintendence of Migration in Peru, or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This will allow them to perform certain activities, either temporarily or permanently.

In the case of nationals of countries to which Peru has agreed to the exemption of the business visa, said visa may be requested by the foreign citizen from the immigration control officer at the time of his/her entry into Peru.
